Rachel's Drawing Shaded and Framed




Here is Rachel's drawing, finished at long last. I hope this image gives some impression of the difference that shading makes. The black background enhances the overall look of the piece as well.

At first I was bothered by the asymmetry of Paradox at the center. Now I think it looks fine. The take away here is that it mostly works out to forge ahead with drawings that seem to be "failing." Rick and Maria say there are no mistakes in Zentangle. True.





As I was fiddling around with the document camera trying to find a good angle, I caught a glimpse of myself reflected in the glass covering the tiles. The effect is interesting.
